Oh dear. Here I am again, apologizing for being completely MIA for the past… oh, month or two?
It’s been insane around here, with work and life and everything in between, that I have not been able to dedicate the time, mentally or physically, to my space here at Stock and Stone. To be honest, it was nice to take a break from the pressure of social media and take life in for a change. I went pumpkin picking and walked around the fair. I went on a mini-adventure to Boone with Oliver and we had the time of our lives. I had an amazing Thanksgiving where our family sat down, ate, and played games well into the night without the interruption of our phones. And you know what? No regrets.
Sure, I’ve lost a few Instagram followers and my activity isn’t as high as I’d like it to be. I also missed out on some chances to post incredible fall content on the blog mostly because I was too busy enjoying myself to worry about blogging on top of work and life. But I was finally able to take a breather this fall, and I feel like I’m in a much better place mentally than I have been for awhile. It was nice to introvert for a bit without the pressure of getting photos edited or scheduling a shoot. I was able to take it easy, enjoy the moment, and simply “be”.
But I’ll admit, I’ve missed this place. I’ve missed writing and taking photos of things that I love. I’ve missed planning future adventures and sharing them with you all. Most of all, I’ve missed being able to have a creative outlet, so when I take my little hiatuses, you should know that it’s never for good.
So I’m back. Intermittently, but back.
